Memoir of Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. wasn’t as spectacular as I expected. Don’t get me wrong it was fun! I had a blast with Ms. Cannon my chaperone, Nikki Swider, Brandy Fischer, and Melissa Mitchell! We had such an awsome time. We went up to see the monument like basically we were in the cirlce of the flags.
We saw the White House. Got yelled at by a officer becasue we were walking on the road instead of the side walk. Ms. Cannon got hit on by a man who was smoking and had alot of missing teeth. He was scary looking. For lunch at Union Station I had a milkshake and I wanted more so I drank Lukes. I also had his last chicken tender, at Johnny Rockets.
D.C. is a very expensive place! And it was the sunniest day ouit which made it very hot outside. I wouldn’t mind going back to Washington D.C!
My Best Friends!
Have you ever had that one friend that you could never live without? The one special friend that’s always there for you? Friends that say they always has your back? Well I have two best friends that are always there for me no matter what.
Yes both of my best friends are guys. They are always by side. My first best friend is a guy that I have known since second grade, and the other friend I have only known for three years. I love them dearly! They are like my little brother and my older brother. I am proud I have them in my life!
These guys are the craziest friends I have ever had! We can be crazy, caring, loving, funny and weird around each other! Whenever I am down I can always count on them to make me laugh and finish it off with a smile. I can always count on them to be with me when I need someone to talk to.
My first best friend and big brother is Jon Warren, and my second best friend and little brother is Cole Reed. As, we continue our friendships by going into High School, our relationships grow bigger with more trust. I can’t imagine my life without either of you! Thank you Jon and Cole for always being there for me.
Accomplishment Essay!
An accomplishment that I am proud of that has change me was “TRUST”. Your thinking to your selves “why trust”? With trust I learned who my real friends were. This helped me because, without my REAL FRIENDS nobody would know who I really was. I would be, transparent. No one would see me or notice me. Trust, loyalty and honesty mean a lot to me.
Friends play a huge role in my life. They are the people that will always be there for you no matter what! Your true friends are the ones that have been with you through the rough and hard times in your life. Always chose the right people to hang out with, the ones that won’t get you in trouble by hanging with the wrong people.
You are only young once, make wise decisions! Know who your friends are and never let them go!
A Rose in Thorns.
In middle school you always have your ups and your downs. You have the feeling of messing up, saying the wrong things to people and making new friends! In your first year of middle school, you know how there’s always that shy little girl that nobody ever talks to or everyone talks about? Then in 7th grade she starts to blossom, people start talking to her. But there’s still rumors going around about her. Finally, she’s really excited! All of her friends and that little shy girl get the whole school pumped because summer is right around the corner. That little shy flower bud is now a beautiful rose! All she needed was a little sunlight in her life.
That little shy girl behind all those thorns was me. That’s right! In my 6th grade year I was a no body. I barely had any friends; no one would talk to me. I was the one who always sat in the back of the class hoping no one would see me in my camouflage shirt, my favorite pair of blue jeans, my sketcher sneakers and my long blonde hair in a ponytail.
Many of my classmates say that I have changed the way I look on the outside. But, on the inside I am still that little shy girl from 6th grade! This is one memory I will never forget! I will miss middle school dearly. Next year in High school I shall bloom again and have a new memory!

Soccer Season Is Over:(
Well it’s coming to the end of the year which means soccer season is over. It’s very sad because, this year was my last year playing a sport here at Mariner Middle School:( I am going to miss this school and all of the people and teachers in it. Today, after school the Girl’s Soccer Team is having a banquet with our coaches Mrs. Suess and Mrs. Humes. I will end up crying becasue I have to leave my little seventh and sixth grade friends and won’t see most of them in the summer.
And then tomorrow will be fun because it’s Boy’s Baseball Team vs. Girl’s Soccer Team in soccer! Us girls’ are gonna kill it! Hahahahah:) The boy’s are going to wish they hadn’t challenged us at the end of the game! Let’s do this ladies!
Secrets in the Shadow by Anne Schraff
Roylin Bailey is living a nightmare and it’s all his fault. It started when the new student Korie Archer came to Bluford High and was in Rolyins’ history class. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and unlike most people at Bluford High, she seemed to like him. Korie was a sweet girl and her birthday was coming up soon. She took Rolyin to a jewelry store in the mall and showed him the most gorgeous necklace of all. The necklace was gold and had a ruby dangling in the center with diamonds surrounding the ruby.
When Rolyin need the money to buy the necklace he knew his mom would not give him the money he went to his old friend Mr. Miller would surely let him borrow the money and pay him back the money. When Rolyin was going to Mr. Miller’s apartment to put some of the money he owed Mr. Miller in his wallet Mr. Tuttle stopped Rolyin and told him that he knew that Rolyin took money from his wallet and he had something to do with killing Mr. Miller. Tuttle told Rolyin that if he didn’t want him to call the cops on him, he had to do whatever Tuttle told him to do. So everyday Rolyin came home from school there was Tuttle waiting for him.
This book is a awesome book from what I have read so far. When I first started reading the Bluford High series I didn’t like them until I started to get into the book and really understand. You know the book is good if every time they mention a place or specify something you can have a mental picture in your mind. I don’t read the books in order I just read as I see them.I highly recommend the Bluford High series and not just one of the books because once you read one you have to read the rest. I will give the whole series five stars even though I have only read two of the books.
Flying at Night by Ted Kooser
Above us, stars. Beneath us, constellations.
Five billion miles away, a galaxy dies
like a snowflake falling on water. Below us,
some farmer, feeling the chill of that distant death,
snaps on his yard light, drawing his sheds and barn
back into the little system of his care.
All night, the cities, like shimmering novas,
tug with bright streets at lonely lights like his.
I like this poem alot because I love laying in the grass and looking up at the stars, moon and looking for constellations. I think it’s so peaceful. It’s like I enter a whoel new world. I never want to get up and go away.
The Journey by Mary Oliver
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice –
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do –
determined to save
the only life you could save.
I like this poem alot because, we are all on a journey to make it through school, adult hood, and jobs. It’s hard I think but, if everyone stays focused they ca reach their goals.
Hope by Emily Dickinson
Hope is the thing with feathers—
That perches in the soul—
And sings the tune without the words—
And never stops—at all—
And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard—
And sore must be the storm—
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm—
I’ve heard it in the chillest land—
And on the strangest Sea—
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb—of Me.
My mom says this is a good poem for me because, I have high hopes for everthing. She says this because I never give up on anything.
